Winemaking has been in our blood for generations, long before this valley, before Western Australia. Today that story lives in a small estate above the Swan River in Herne Hill, where we grow, make, and bottle six red wine varietals each year with care that only comes from loving what you do.

A piece of southern Spain, at home in the Swan Valley.

Our Estate.

The Castel León estate sits on an elevated block in Herne Hill, overlooking the Swan River and the valley floor below. The residence was built by Mike in the style of Andalucía, the whitewashed architecture of southern Spain that has stayed with him since his first visit. At the rear of the house, a pavilion modelled on a water feature from the Alhambra Palace in Granada completes the picture. It is a personal place, built with intention, and the wine it produces reflects that same care.
